Just remember, there will be NO car this time. What you need to take, you need to carry

Maha, still keen for a meeting weekend after next?

Grant, stop being a fucking mincer and come along. You know you want to....

LOL not being a mincer, I have just recalled, why i spent so much money on a mountain bike a few years back after going through Redwoods on Saturday with a mate, have organised some repeat trips down there and forgot about original date not being set in stone...

Haven't been out mountain biking properly since I moved to Whangarei rather lazy in the scheme of things.

Sure you will have just as much fun with or with out me

I've decided I won't be on this one, even with the later dates now confirmed, as I can pretty much guarantee that work will either still be going crazy (packing up all the gear after the bloody V8's), or, I'll be recovering from the pack-up. Basically we've got 2 weeks after the event (which is on the 20th to the 22nd of April) to clear all of our fencing from the track site or we get fined big bucks. So you can imagine, 8 weeks to put it all out, 2 weeks to pack it all up, it's going to be pandemonium... Even if we do get it all packed up within the 2 weeks, I'm gonna be a walking zombie from putting in freaking huge hours - if it's anything like last year I'll be doing easily 100 hours a week right up to the last day.

Suffice to say, I will be in need of a weekend off (at least) after the madness, and don't think a big ride (however cool I know it will be!) would be a good idea for me at that stage.

Plus I've kinda dedicated myself to saving some money for a little 'trip' later on in the year...

Sorry guys, I'm sure you'll still have a blast without me!

Yeah man, Redwoods are great! No shuttle, the exercise part is actually riding up the hills

LOL with the amount this current bike cost, It will be lasting me a fair while before I consider a new one.

Thats a real shame Scott, but completely understandable, the buck is where it all stops these days.

My bike isn't a downhill bike, its a cross country bike so more of an all rounder.

I reckon that talking about MTB on a motorcycling forum counts as 'crap' on this thread..... I may think this way simply because I don't have one because I'm too poor and would have a cardiac arrest if I pedalled anything, but who can say....

Scott, bummer man but totally understandable. I won't give you any shit because you'll be more disappointed then me for sure. Way to play a sensible card bro. If I could do that I would probably have food and tobacco the day before payday but alas.....
