I really need to get my bike sorted for the db1k, I've had my WR250R for almost a year now.

Had great plans to turn it into an adventure bike but it's spent most of this year as a farm hack with the odd trail ride.

Just noticed this http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...740689&page=14 First ever WR250R to do this I think?

Details are easy - 19/20th Jan is official. Same route as last year.

Work is really getting in the way of life. I though last year was bad but I hadn't met 2012 at that time. I'm currently ensconced in a hotel in Wellington looking at a night of work (as per most evenings) - maybe I should just get the front page of the DB site sorted.

    Cheers

Web page updates started. Need a bit of help from ADVGD to sort out my crappy web page writing skills.

Also need a bit of help with the T-shirt graphic if somebody has skills and time. See the bottom of the main page.

Great, now that the Date and Place is final, the accomadation is booked and paid for in Failie and Alexander, and we know the route is the same as 2012, the only question I have and this might not nessesarily be directed at cooneyr, is the following:
Is there another organised ride from Christchurch to Fairlie like there was in 2012? and who was it that organised it?

    Life is about having fun.

Matt (mattsdakar) normally organises the run from Chch to the DB1K start point each year, I am presuming he will be doing the same this year. He normally starts a thread specifically for it

When's the Waiouru one? sounds tempting...if the AT is up and running by then.
There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.

You're organising it mate so you get to decide The last one was great, we all want to do it again.

Looks like there will be a solid North Is contingent for the DB1k, need to think about a few tracks, pubs & camping spots to take in on the way to & from.

    Cheers
