This thread is tempting me to drive to work in my slippers again. Just so I can accidently forget to bring proper shoes. Black ugg boots (proper ones, not cheap nasty) and see how long it takes people to whine. Must wait til actual winter though

    I have - now.
Chuck a pair of flip flops or beach feet under your seat and it won't happen again

Lets face it. Lycra's not really suitable any-wear.

I have a theory... the more walking around you do in your boots the sooner they they start to leak.

One thing I've never done is drop a brand new helmet on the conc floor at a bike shop. Nope, never done that!
Well maybe just a little. At Cycletreads. Recently. I didn't see the sign that said, "If you drop it, you buy it" My wife did tho and as she was narrowing her choice of new helmets down, she handed me her no1 contender to hold, a $699 Shoei and I dropped it. She said, "Um you're gonna have to buy it now" and the young salesy said,"I'm going to have to insist that you buy it." And lucky for me it was the helmet we were going with but now had no choice of colour etc. I asked him if there was a discount cos it was damaged and he did nearly crack a smile and graciously shaved a few bucks off!

    Oakie sticks his hand up.

Yes I've done that as a yungun but I didn't care as I thought it made me look tough. Since relised it only made me look forgetful.
