With that many crashes, I wondered if some of them were staged.

Probably not, Asia would have such a high number of riders that it wouldn't be hard to find that amount of prangs. Many crashes show the dangers of small scooter wheels ( and asian drivers).

I read somewhere that in Mumbai ( India) there are about 1000 cars crashed every day.
