See you all there! I'm leaving in the next hour from Welly to head up and get ready for you lot!
I'll be the handsome one with the microphone, so come and say gidday specially your mainlanders!
Forecast is for a wet Friday day and then clearing for the night, fine Saturday and Sunday, but everywhere else in the country will get the sucky weather, so wet in and wet out!
Ride safe and try to stay dry, and we'll see you for the epic 21st Cold Duck Rally in Sunny Central Hawkes Bay!

Thought for the day: Some people are like Slinkies - not really good for anything but they're funny when they're pushed down the stairs. Also: Who picks up guide dog shit?

Left at 8. Strait across the paddock to the metal drive as some tents had gone. The last bit was deep mud but just put the tyre in a grove and took it slow. Mud all the way across the bridge. First shower about 30 km out of Taupo. Couple of heavy ones around Matamata that did not wash all the mud of my boots. Fine from Ohinewai back home. Was good to see those South Islanders and a few new faces to me.

Awesome to see the familiar faces, great to put faces to names of others. Dry ride home today and home to wash the mud off the bike and dry the tent out

Had a slight detour to make after setting up the tent on friday afternoon and best $1.20 I have spent in a long time I reckon .. and its not two wheels but real horse power

now to wait several weeks til he arrives
