Thanks guys. Yeah, I tidied up my profile when I got home and I have a thing for devils and skulls so that explains the avatar.

Yep, the bike is all road legal. Has been since I finished the build in March 02. Gets a WOF no problem although I do take it to testing stations instead of the local bike shop because I don't like anyone riding it except me. Not being a jerk or anything - it's just that if you've never ridden a long bike before - I don't want you learning on mine.

This is my 17th bike (I think) and it handles like nothing I've ever been on before. It does go around corners but it's no speed machine. She is a bit of work around town and in the suburbs but is very comfortable on highways/open roads and that's the kind of riding I enjoy.

It has 4" of ground clearance and is almost 12 feet long. As you can imagine, a ride in the twisties is not setting any speed records when on her!

The bike is tall. Swedish chop is the style. Choppers come in all styles but this is my favourite and what I always wanted and I'll never part with it. Sometimes I just go out in the garage to look at it but you all know how that is.

Anyway, thanks again and safe riding.....

Lol yea bit more of a pro-street fan myself. Keen to start building my own soon gonna use a Honda CMX250 for the base. Just to start with and learn what I'm doin then I'll have some fun with a bigger, more complex bike.

Have to see about getting a look at yours in person next time I head down that way.

You might be a Fred Kodlin or Marcus Walz fan then? The Americans get all the publicity but the europeans kill them on fabricating and flat out engineering skill. I see Rick Hemi has his chop on TradeMe right now:

Is that your style? I've had a good pick over that bike. Very nice but sooooo small. Looks like a minibike for a guy my height!

Have you guys seen his stuff? He does great work out of Masterton.

Thanks guys. Friendly bunch here for sure.

These bikes aren't everybodies style, that's for sure.

I think that's why I find motorcycling so interesting. A lot of folks on a lot of different types of rides but all getting in the wind and having a great time. One of lifes pleasures .... you guys know
