    Selling Honda NXR125ES - I think...

So, a few years ago (as in three, I believe), I was an eager beaver for a bike, and was bought a NEW Honda NXR125ES as a Christmas/Birthday present. Unfortunately, I seemed to have totally overreached myself as I'm a pretty nervous sort of a person and had no-one around to ride with, so after a silly mistake I found myself lying in the middle of a blind corner, having dropped the bike on gravel. Nothing really damaged at all - either bike or me - but I was shocked and in shock enough to not be able to a) get out from under the bike for a while or b) pick it up for even longer. After that incident, I rode back home to Taumarunui, and haven't really got on again since. It's sat in storage, sad and unused as I shot off to Uni down in Canterbury, and then to Wellington. I can't see me happily getting on a bike again, at least not until I feel safe driving a car (which I can't do either - never needed to learn)... So this bike needs a new home.

I'm afraid I don't know exactly how many k's it's done, but I do know that the battery is totally dead and will need some love and attention to revive it... In saying that, in terms of distance it's done, it's done sweet fuck all as all I'd used it for was the occasional trip into town and, as we've seen already, a few explorations of the surrounding countryside! It really hasn't had the time to have been treated badly, and has been kept in a garage all its life, but here, I submit to the superior knowledge of the Kiwibiker forums - how much do YOU think it'd probably be worth, and is anyone interested in it?

To dispute the details I've been required to enter:

    - I can't remember exact year make, but I think it's a 2009 model
    - I don't know how many kms it's done, but it's not been much, so I'm guesstimating a maximum of 5,000...
    - It's dual purpose, and is the road legal version
    - $5000 (or there abouts) was the price NEW - that's not what I'm asking for now.
    - It's in Taumarunui, I'm in Wellington, this is why I'm not sure of all the details...
Who, me? I just wander from thread to thread.

Is the rego currently on hold or has it lapsed?

Depending on the damage and no reg/wof, its probably worth ~2.5k maybe a wee bit more, maybe be a wee bit less.

You could always take the necessarily steps and learn to ride it safely . If you change your mind on the whole riding thing i'm sure theres plently of people on here willing to help you out! Including myself (I has dirt bikes i teach people on sometimes) .

Having moved to the city, it's much less appealing. I can walk most places, or bus, and when I can't, it's usually because I'm taking heavy loads with me - not ideal on a little bike you're not confident on, on ridiculously busy roads.
