Actually, one point here Maha, you can have up to 3 different shells for the 3 different markets around the world, so yes, it may not fit the same. Oval, Round and something else (I forgot what), basically because different races have different head shapes.

I'll still buy helmets here, because it's my head, need helmet to fit properly etc. But... personal opinion, everyone can do what they like.

My new helmet is the best fitting KBC I have owned...the last three or so I have bought locally (North shore/Collage Hill and Napier)
But I understand and hear what you ar saying....I guess the XP3 suits me better that the VRs

Yes, thats an issue we find with Bicycle helmets also. Good example og this is with Bell m/cycle helmets, euro ones are very different to the US market ones. Same with AGV I believe.

I bought some Dainese pants from http://www.motoin.de/ in Germany. In the box was a return form with half dozen different boxes to tick of reasons for why you may want to return them.
I dont have the form anymore but "wrong size" was one of the options and another which amazed me was (not this wording) "I have changed my mind" !!
So apart from the time lost, sizing isnt really an issue because they will happily take the product back.

Pretty much. You can also cancel the order up to 14 days after sending it out (or receiving - can't remember which). Obviously return costs are yours.

I have a Rev'it Ignition that I brought 3-4 years ago to do a trip around the top of Oz... work really well being so well ventilated and allso to keep the cold of the mornings out with its liners.

Since then I use it for summer rides around NZ.. but its not the best a keeping the rain out (as you said 'so so') and it is no where warm enough to ride in winter.

I have had any parts or caps fall off and I just re-waterproofed the Water Proof liner with NikWax Textile waterproofing stuff (from camping stores).

A Rev'It Sand jacket is next on my list for all season riding in NZ.

Yeah its time for another jacket, was a mistake paying so much for a jacket that offered so much, but falls short of that expectation.
Anne and I both bought one each about a year ago..we thought it be would the perfect year round jacket for the commute to work...but Anne wears her textile jacket more often.
Still, we both agree that its a great summer jacket and that fine..now where that shopping list?...

I've had my Rev'it Dragon jacket for a month now and I love it. Also bought some really comfy boots and great fitting short wrist gloves and they were both Rev'it brand too. Bought all three by comform level and 'fit for purpose' and just happened that all three were Rev'it.

Revit H20 jacket and pants combo is great. Easy to put on, even on on the side of the road if need be (the velcro flaired pants in particular). Same reason I would avoid rain gear not expressly made for motorcycling, putting that stuff on over your boots can be darn hard work in the rain.

My experience is, regardless of how waterproof your regular gear is supposed to be it only lasts so long in a real strong downpour and heavy wind so far nothing gets through the the overpants and jacket by revit.

Sometimes if i dont tuck my shirt in properly, i get wet on the side near my kidneys only..

Highly recommend if you can get for cheaper... Costed an arm and a let, even after discount

Between my partner and I we have tried jackets and pants from Mobig, to Revit, dainese, Ixon, Teknic, Hein gierick etc.
What it really seems to come down to, is you get what you pay for.. I like Ixon gear but the supply seems intermittent. Ixon also manufacture ski and cold weather gear so have a lot of experience dealing with cold and wet environments. I found Strada pants/jackets quite good. Joe Rocket quality has improved substantially over the recent years and my summer jacket cordura/leather mix works very well.
The biggest issue we find is the different manufacturers sizing system, one makers 3xl is anothers medium, grrrrrr!

My main concern was that, the amount that you pay for the supposed right gear can get outragous. (in NZ)
Especially when it turns out not to be the case (right gear for the job)
The cut and style of the jacket is (for me) very very good.
I may opt for a textile jacket yet, for the cooler/wetter months, dont know.
Revit Raptor $266 or the Navigator and or Nevada @ $330.

I bought a Rev It jacket and after 5 to 6 months of some pretty tough riding, the flappy wrist thingo fell off and some stitching went in the pocket. I took it back to the dealer (Boyds) who sent it back to the importer.

They replaced it. No argument, just "..what colour would you like?"
