I bet the offender is going to have a free court appointed lawyer who will say something along the lines of "my client had an alcoholic father and his mother was a crack whore while she was pregnant with him, and he was abused a lot as a child so please go easy on him, your honour". Most likely he'll spend 6 months in jail at the most before he's released back into society to cause the same shit again.

Sadly...that may be the case.(that is our justice systems way it seams)

But I reakon if that peice of crap walks into the wrong bar in ChCh...That truckie is gonna finish what he started!...and there WILL be a Que behind him

But then the poor cop doing a good job would go through months of shit and end up on trail and would most likely get a worse punishment than the asshole he killed. Not easy being a cop sometimes.
