I had a great day, so thanks to everyone for organising it.

It's quite a different track to Pukekoke. More difficult.

    It's easier to spell, though...

Anyone got any idea where I can find some video of me weaving my wheezy way down the start/finish straight? The Freewind was moving around all over the shop flat out in top, enough for at least one other rider to notice it, so I need to figure out what's up with it. Would love to see some video because it felt pretty bad.

Thanks to all the marshalls and orgnisers and everybody that made the day possible - it was awesome. I had a great time, and I think I learnt a lot too. I got some good vid of group 3, and will post a link to Youtube soon as I have uploaded it.

I agree with you p.dath - it is avery different track - much scarier in some respects. But that is what teaches you the most.

How big is the drop in turn 5 (the left hand dropping hair pin style turn before the big sweeper)?

I heard that, but it doesn't sound right. That's the height of a 3 story building? 8 foot maybe?

I think you may be right, trying to imagine the height difference in my head and it didn't seem to be 8 metres.

No way... deceptive when you're on a bike, but when you stand at the bottom, it's several humans high...

Awesome day, I got a lot out of the wet sessions...I now believe how well tyres can grip. HD suits my old BMW much better than Puke. That hairpin is tricky....my SR was saying brake but brain was saying throttle

It's a 7 meter drop from the crest to the equivalent point on the exit, I believe.

So, how many people just went for a track day?

Hard to say... Me & my son just went to ride... good to see plenty of riders who had never ridden there before... The day was very well run too. Groups 1,2,3 were full. Group 4 (Fast) wasnt full from the looks of it.... 4 sessions wasn't quite enough though

A really nice day though and many thanks to AMCC for putting it on. I think it was very successful and I look forward to more....

I usually go just for the track time with Instructors, though it's more about being supervised in G3 I guess.
