    Road Madness, TV3

First time I've seen this show. Mostly NZ content.... Crikey I thought we had to put up with alot of shit as bikers. Fuck being a truck driver in this country ! The stupidity of some NZ drivers is astounding.

Yeah, but it worries me more if they had car-cam and it showed footage of motorcycles doing daft passing etc!

That was my worry too.... Didnt see any of that, yet (knock on wood)
Got to wonder how much mileage they can get out of truck cam. Seems pretty extraordinary the risks some people are prepared to take.

It's quite clearly the trucks' fault that cars don't see them.

As the onus seems to be on those being hit to invest in safety equipment, maybe the transport lobby group could investigate the validity of hi visibility options for trucks and drivers.

    Novel idea...
Anyone that's ever been pinged (or hit) because they failed to give way, must install some sort of visible, visual aid (like a big neon sign, saying RETARD) on their vehicle.
Then the rest of us, who are looking, will have more warning and won't get caught out by these dipshits.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I expect it will be a little like 33 (?) years ago when the rule was last changed.

Some of us - like me f'rinstance - have never trusted the current rule. I never expect the left turning car to stop for me and I still acknowledge those who do stop with a lift of the hand. So I hope it will be easy to revert to the original training. I hope...

+1 As long as I have lived here behaviour at junctions has been a lottery so I just wait until I know whats happening.
Oh, I look both ways too unlike some of the drivers last night....
