I have taken the first bed in a shared room, 4 singles in the main room and a double in a separate room (not sure how many of these configurations there are, but there is more than one). All rooms with doubles are taken.

Guess I'll see you dirty lot Saturday... as Sharry said, who's doing what route, I'm also open to being TEC for a route (probably the longer one)

Qks: You make mention of a calendar event, but I see no link and nothing in the calendar?

We will be going south via Pirongia Tekuiti Taumaranui over the saddle into Turangi and around the lake into Taupo

We can discuss route more thoroughly at 8:30am -9am at the BP Autobahn Papakura as there are a few options open to people ie doing Forgotten Highway on the way for those interested.

If people read the first post everything necessary is there.
    Not worried about the calendar

    Got the text, thanks Steve.
An excellent loop either way, but at about 500km some will find it easier as you suggest. Nice easy cruise across the plains to finish.
Weather looks primo atm and we may well join you for some of it.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Finally I've got my V-Strom sorted and now I am thinking about poping to the Taupo gathering, but not quite sure if it is ok to go with a passenger.
Just one quick and stupid question:
Do you ride at these KB gatherings at the same pace as we did at ATNR or Oponini Ride? or it is going to be a chill out passenger-friendly cruising?

Not able to join you all on Saturday although I might make it a day trip on the Sunday for one of the tiki tours before heading back home.

Anyone doing the Gentle Annie on Sunday?

What you trying to say Mr? Yes much the same pace - some may be fast some not, find your place in the group and enjoy the ride.

If the weather holds true to the forecast I'll be doing the Forgotten Highway loop on the way there on Saturday - looking forward to it as I've never ridden it.

All sealed now apparently, so route would be via Turangi/Desert Rd, Gentle Annie to Hastings for ice cream at Rush Munroes, then back up Napier-Taupo Highway.

    Laxed out pace. not racy.
