Farkin idiot but theres a 4000cc bike?A high speed police chase has left one man in hospital after crashing his motorbike in South Taranaki this morning.
Police say the motorcyclist clocked 133kms an hour when they pursued the vehicle, but the chase was quickly abandoned after the power 4000cc motorbike reached excessive speeds.
The motorist was sighted again, but quickly disappeared before he came around a bend and crashed in Waverley.
The man is reported to have been conscious and speaking when he was taken to hospital.

So we can ignore the 'ride to the conditions, if they change reduce your speed' message.
I seriously have to stop listing to the experts and get all my advice from KB. That will keep me real safe.
Not an initentional hijack...
I saw a guy outside the local WINZ office this morning with what looked to be an ancient and fairly decrepit farm bike. He bump started it and rode away, no helmet, just a hoodie.
A short while later I saw the bike parked *in* the entrance way of a bank. On closer examination it was obvious that there was no number plate, warrant, or anything else much. Obviously he couldn't park it in the bike park just up the road where it could attract the attention of the parking wardens.
I know there don't seem to be many cops on the road these days, but he and the hero of the original post may be unrealistically optimistic about not bumping into a chance patrol car?

Whanganui sergeant Andy Reid said the rider was clocked by police doing about 130kmh near Waitotara when police began pursuit.
Come on guys lets be fair says was clocked 130 when before pursuit. You cant rewrite it for effect.
He may have double that the minute sirens started.
He stole a bike and wiped out.Maybe he wont steel your bike next week.Hard luck I say and good news he didnt injure other people.
I have evolved as a KB member. Now nothing I say should be taken seriously.
The pity is that if he's going to destroy someone else s hard earned ride at least he could have rubbed himself out completely doing it.That way there's no ACC payout, no jail fees for keeping the prick for years on end and of course no ongoing legal aid and other associated fees that this sort of low life have hanging around them all of their actual lives.
Fuck It shoot the prick an be done with it, they shot horse thieves, isn't that close enough???
Every day above ground is a good day!:
