if you have bought a second hand vt750 in the last couple of years check with your local honda dealer if it needs it's positive battery cable replaced. these do cause bike fires if they are not fixed, if the bike needs a new cable it will be done free of charge. bikes affected are listed below

VT750C, C2 and CA 2007 to 2009 model years
The battery positive cable fitted to some VT750s may chaf through against the battery box plastic. The posibilty of fire though unlikely cannot be ruled out.
