    XR200 engine in bucket

Hey guys i know that due to its cc rating its not eligible but maybe with a bit of persuasion the old 1980's 2 valve xr200 engine might just be allowed due no real advantage from the extra cc.
I think it only got in the realm of 10-15 HP.
Its the only available engine ive got to put in a mc19 chassis

    Cheers

Yep, no problems .... or you could do the real Bucket thing and de stroke and de bore it to 150cc.

    your right it is illegal.

if you bolt on a cb125 piston (56mm) and barrel it may be legal at 142cc or so.

bet he has a barrel if you ask nicely too.

Get a Bucket legal bike. There are plenty of them about for not much cash.
(see the Forza thread for more opinions on non legal or marginal machines.)

    David,
You won't get on the track at Kaitoke with a 200cc engine.........by the time you've sleeved it down and built it into an MC19 chassis and got the chassis all nyloned-up the season will be over
There's a spare bucket 15 mins from you down the South Makara Road in my garage (Tim Hall's first gen racer...) that will get you out and learning the track. Just needs some slicks. Your Mum has our number (Caroline & Lottie). Call me if you're interested..........

50cc extra even with a 2 valves is a huge advantage. Sorry no can do. (Pacific and North Island Coordinators perspective)

I'm waiting for Mike to come in and say it would still be smaller than rich's.
That aside, get something legal there are plenty of options including a whole bike by the sounds of it.

    etc etc etc

my 125 only has 14 h/p when I got it (well when it was new . was stuffed when I got it)

    now it's pushing 30 h/p and I have TZ's 6 year old engine

Hey some I was racing on a month ago, just I put flasher ones on for the GP. Some are older, but still better than a lot of crap.
One is brand new but older than the hills.
    All are stupidly cheap.
