Well on me I guess.
Speeding or lack of it.
I managed to stay at or around 100-105kphs all the way from Nelson to Hanmer return (in the brethy bus). I inadvently crept up to 115 a couple of times due to a bit of inattention but quickly buttoned off. As I received a ticket & a warning on the last 2 times over the Lewis pass route I was determined to stay legal - and I for the most part suceeded so big claps for the Padmei. I'm hoping I can keep up the good behaviour.
Funny thing is, it ended up being one of the quickest trips I reckon we've done too as there were no roadworks, convoys of trucks, etc. The traffic just flowed very nicely.
What I was impressed about as well was the patience & behaviour of the many many bikers lucky enough to be touring around the South island (barstards) If you were out on your bike you had one of the best weekends weatherwise all year.
