    Honda fuel tap

    Hi.
Anybody got a fuel tap for a Honda?
Mine lets the fuel through to the engine and all that, but it doesn't switch off or let me switch reserve on and off. (I assume its always on reserve?)

    Cheers

As long as the thread size is the same ... it matters little what it's off.

Is it required to have a vaccum switch with it too ???

ho ho ho i love your optimism

if mr honda wanted all fuel taps to be equal he would have made them all the same

sadly,he did not,so a model type and code would be very helpful.

Its for a honda cbx550, the one that is on it at the moment has on, reserve and off. The on works but reserve and off dont, i.e. the fuel is on all the time.

How many tubes connect to the fuel tap?

Even better if you can post a pic...

looks like 2 rubber hoses and then a metal attachment to the tank. It looks like the metal attachment is also a hose type thingo.
