....a knobsuck in Lycra zooms through a red light on Colombo Street, just on dark, a 3mm red dot off the back of his helmet was all I saw...some poor cunt in a car who had the right of way through the lights, ends up with this fuckwit biting his bonnet...the doodle headed dick with a bent bicycle was jumping up and down and shouting obscenities at a poor little office worker who was terrified...the lights changed and we all got Italian and screamed and shouted at the cyclist dong to pick his bike up and fuck off...if it wasn't so cold I reckon I could have left my vehicle and kicked the twat in his lightly lycra clad ghoulies...just for the giggle mind you...no malice...

...I enjoyed reading that (Shoulda "helped" him pick up his bike...while standing on the rims etc...opps sorry...damn was that mean't? to come off...sorry!)

But thats a perfect example of how cyclists are happy to break the rules when they see fit, yet they then hide behind the road rules when it suits them.
Imagine if motorcyclists just ignored EVERY give way, stop sign and even red lights! so we too could whip around the courner into flowing traffic....we would get jumped on so friggin hard by the popos!, and then fined off the road for endangering ourselfs and others thorugh dangerous stupidity!

Earlier on in this thread our local popo mate Rastuscat stated that his boss has THOUSANDS of letters of complaints involving cyclists and the above acts (And many many more!), yet he also has thousands of letters for cars, motorcyclists trucks etc....I asked just ONE question!

"Why do we NEVER see cyclists (and scooters for that matter) Targeted by police check points and "safety campaigns"...yet cars, trucks and motorcycles are REPEATEDLY targeted!"

I thought it was a valid question?...and one we might just have to keep asking it

i don't know if you've ever trail ridden or downhill mountainbiked before, but the number one rule is give way, all it would of taken is for fat buzzy be boy to slow down for a second so he could pass but no he continued to be a wanker.

I have had riders in the past not let me go, I have simply called "Pass on left/right!" as I shot past - some give it a go of barging back - some ended up with tasty bear trap scars........I miss those pedals.

Staying right on someones wheel is not the way to gain friends. It creates an annoying, unnecessary and dangerous "mind your back" mentality.

"Camera boy" threatning to run "Mr Buzzy bee" off the track if he prefered (then had the nerve to mention "trail etiquette")... rather than moving over ... may not have helped. And the fact that "Buzzy bee" did stop and let him past ... then "camera boy" took a route that let "Buzzy bee" back in front. It looked like they were both back (almost) at tar-seal and "camera boy" pressed the issue again.

On many occasion I have been on a ride through an area I know and like. Only to find somebody ahead (Bike/Car/Truck) that is going quite slowly. It's a bugger sure ... but such is life.

I'm not saying Buzzy Bee Bud wasn't wrong, just that a bit of smarts and calm would have avoided this... but hey, then they both wouldn't both be famous now, would they?

Camera boiy then had the option of having a sip out of his camelback, dropping back & then carrying on at his usual speed with buzzy boiy ahead in the distance doing his own thing.
Camera boiy didn't do this- fair enough why should he, it was his riding time & noone should take that away from him- he wanted to keep riding up buzzy's arse & either pass or piss him off.

Camera boiy was well within his right to ride like this but he should have realised there was a very good chance of a handbag duel at the end. At the end Camera boiy then after whinging gets a wedgie, squeaks & says he has a camera & it's all on video. Well time for a swirly now. As his head goes down the toilet he starts squealing like a girlie - biting buzzys finger???? that's the best he can do?

My point is Camera boiy must have led a pretty sheltered life if at the ripe old age of 16 - 35ish(?) he hasn't learnt that actions like this can end with sore gonads & a good dose of humiliation.
I would put it out there that most of us learnt at a young age how to stay away from trouble we didn't want. Remember to walk away from the bully in the playground?
