When I went to ground zero my conclusion of the whole thing was very simple.
It did not matter. Regardless of who was at fault - it was a big fucken mess.

Say the gubbermint did it - you can't trust them

Say terrorists did it - you can trust the gubbermint cos they let them in.

    Its a lose-lose situation.

The US government would not destroy it's highly valued symbols of US power and economics including its iconic WTC, (and its own people in them), just to garner support for its war on terror. Totally ludicrous and unneccesary.

It would be like NZ's govt. blowing up the Beehive and the Reserve bank, (and the people working in them), to justify targetting Triad gangs here.

Having seen a few documentaries on the whole 9/11 tragedy, there's no question that what happened and the official version of events are at odds.

To drop a 757 into a field in Pennsylvania without leaving any aircraft debris is a first for starters.

As for the US government being behind the whole thing....I dunno....all I recall is lots of questions that haven't been answered in a satisfactory manner.

This event is a bit like the shooting of JFK, fodder for many to salivate over for years to come.

Uh no it wouldn't. For one triads don't have oil. Secondly, we don't have a multi-billion dollar war industry. And I'm more of a '9/11 believer' than a conspiracy follower, but I do agree there appear to be some major cover ups and questions being avoided.

I was struggling to think of a NZ equivalent...

But considering the magnitude of the failure to prevent it, you would expect those in power to be trying to cover their backsides and say "It wasn't my fault!"

You need to read a few more reports, plenty of wreckage was found including engines

Maybe someone should enquire at the annual hijackers meeting to see if they know what really happened.

Conspiracys are largely unnecessary when there is an oversupply of pure incompetance

Ah okay, so the versions I've read and watched so far have all been skewed towards the conspiracy theory version. Cheers.
