I have an old RMX250 I have rebuilt. I bought a complete gasket set and notice a kind of O-Ring and am wondering if it fits onto the front of the exhaust pipe. Any ideas? And fitting the springs to the pipe is gonna be tricky.

The o'ring goes in a groove around the header pipe where it enters the cylinder. You need a spring puller which is basically a hook with a t handle, not hard to make one but cheap to buy also.
