He was certainly walking a short circuit up there. He seemed quite phased by it really.

    Well...what can I say...Not the reaction I expected.

I was quite serious in my comments about OSH here. (For once). And I was pretty appalled at the content of the vid.

Oh well, back to current events I guess...

Hmm from my experience the 'sizzlee' seemed to be suffering some form of mental problem - or was until he forgot where he was and reached up to steady himself...

Just think of it as electroshock therapy

And camera operators that follow through.

True. Hate it when just as the action happens the camera jerks away.

Maybe follow-through was the wrong expression, try "commit"
By no means do I get off on viewing smoking corpses lying on top of railway carriages, but it was refreshing to actually view the moment of flashover.
Normally the camera operator would freak out at the flame moment and all we'd get is shakey images of everything but the event, negating the actual reason for posting the video for a worldwide audience in the first place.

Maybe this will serve to reinforce the message of danger to all the smacktards that insist on riding on the roofs of railway carriages. Obviously the signs/ warnings/ and official reprimands don't work.
in addition, if there are no such warnings in place it may serve as a reminder to those countries that such a laissez faire approach doesn't cut it.

For those who don't live in a "life has no value" environment it also serves as a very graphic (pun intended) reminder that electricity has been dubbed the "silent killer" for a very good reason.

Just the fact that the photographer could do it. I'd have dropped the camera.

That was a suicide. We use that video at KiwiRail for training purposes.
