What a fantastic ride today! Near perfect weather, dry roads, and good company - what more could I ask for!

Great riding with you again Dave and thanks for organising the event, love your style on the R6! I enjoyed our conversation over lunch.

Good riding with you again for the 2nd weekend in a row Motobob, whose real name is Paul! I hope you can get that CBR6 fixed under insurance, it sure looked funny following you and seeing your bikes rear end all out of balance and on angle...I had a great time keeping a good pace with you guys.

And Marmoot, good riding with you too today, I hope you made it back to your prior engagement in plenty of time!! That SP1 is an awesome looking and sounding bike man!

Us four and no more rode down Firefight's routes to Ngaruawahia for lunch, through to Morrinsville and back across to the infamous 22 for a solid paced ride back home. I really enjoyed myself for the entire 6 hours - that's my weekend riding fix achieved!

    Highlight:
That choice road from Manga...(something) to SH1 at Mercer, some of those little hills were much fun on the Bird...the whole trip was actually, bike performed brilliantly in every aspect of the ride...what a machine!

    Rider of the day:
    All of us!

wow what a great day !!!

How good is this lovely fine day, some good kb mates to ride with, ,, we meet at caltex Bombay, waited for a latecomer who never showed, 4 of us took off and headed east up bombay-paparata-happy valley-lyons rd-mangatawhiri on to Matthews new fav bit of road(Koheroa) to mercer-over the river up mercer ferry rd to 22 ,, quick pace to the glenmurray junction, have a pee and a chat and back along 22 , stopped for a min at the big hole in the road, then along to hetherington rd and rotowaro and along the river side to Nargawhia, grabbed some gas then along to the coffee house opposite the golf course, had a nice feed and a good chat, from there we rode to Horitu (poo smelly as always), down past the lakes on those great twistys and on to Gordonton Rd, a bit of a dull ride on the straights to Morrinsville, had the pleasure of following a HP the last two kays in to town, .
from there we took the Tahuna road to S/way one along to rangariri cross the bridge and back up to 22. at this point the guys returned north on 22.

I had a bit of time left so, back on 22 south bound .7ks from Naike hall(yes at the big hole) meet up with 3 more kbers, Erik, Justsomeguy, and Tom,( sorry forgot your kb name), so we all headed south on 22, back to BP Naragawhia and more gas, picked up a new guy from hams who joined us for a bit, and rode back to Huntly, Rotowaro-Hetherington-22 and at Tuakau split up, not sure were the boys went, I had to get to work for night shift.

Thanks all kbers, another great ride, good weather, and nice pace.

Rider of the day in the second group was Erik, nice to see how far you have come with your pace man.

The only reason I only ride in the Iron man Class is I have no friends left to enter the two man events,
    my own fault really.

Nice to meet you / ride with you Dave.
Your R6 looks and sounds awesome.
Those were some cool roads that we went down between Naragawhia and Naike. I'd love to try them out again sometime.

    See ya,

Dave, Thanks for the ride yesterday. Those where some cool roads we covered. I got see some parts of the country I didn't know existed. Well almost saw as I had to concentrate hard on the next bend. You have some cool roads in your backyard Dave.

Zed it was good to ride with you again. That Blackbird of yours is one impressive bike. Funny thing is I see it daily on my way to the Gym and didn't realise it was yours. So when I have finished my workout I should take it for a ride since it looks so lonely all by itself in the carpark

Marmoot nice to meet you. that SP was a cool machine. theres nothing like the sound of a big Vtwin in your ears.

Thanks Guys for the ride and company.
