Has anyone else ever noticed that Rossi has always had the best? Until Ducati, and he can't win on it......![]()

It could be argued that Rossi made the bike the best!
The Yamaha was far from the best! in 03 it managed 1 podium (3rd) and that was in the wet! Despite having good riders (Checa, Abe, Barros, Nakano etc).
Come 04 and Rossi won the first race on it, then the championship. It was his and Burgess's input that got it to that point! These are the facts!
Stoner is now on the best bike! he didn't do too bad on the Ducati, he was the only person who could ride it though as history has shown.
The Yamaha and Honda are universally rideable, and virtually anyone can seem to adapt to them!

So are the die hard Rossi fans going to root for Lorenzo cos he is on the bike Rossi 'made'? Or are they just going to root for him because he is going to dominate stoner this season?

Remember '02 tho? I was competitive then.... '2002 saw the first season of the new four-stroke MotoGP class, which Rossi and the RCV went on to dominate - but Biaggi was again his closest rival, the Roman breaking the RCV domination of Rossi and team-mate Tohru Ukawa by claiming the first ever Yamaha M1 victory, at Brno, before taking a second M1 win later in the season. ' Not exactly back of the field....

I reckon this guy knows what he's talking about...

But with Hayden coming in 4 places ahead of Rossi on the same bike, the question is....are the other riders getting better, or is Rossi losing his edge. Only one race mind you, 1/2 doz races into the season will be a better indication.
Thats one race! difficult to judge.
Remember Rossi and Hayden were posting very similar times in pre-season testing, sometimes Rossi was ahead othertimes he was behind, but very little between them!
People seem to forget this fact! All of the Ducati riders are behind on the time sheets!
Nicky Hayden is also a former world champion!

I agree. But I laugh at all the people that think I actually like Stoner. I couldn't give a flying fuck what sort of person he is, makes no difference to me or my life. It's the balls out way he rides a bike I love. Same goes for Rossi or Lorenzo when they win races and put on a lil (very gay in my eyes) show. I turn the telly off. It's the racing and awesome riding skills that give me a chubby, not who there are as people.
It's just that the Stoner haters have nothing else to wind me up about other than his personality!! All because he's given 'their men' a fucking hiding now he's on a decent bike.
But going back to the 'Rossi always had the best bike and equipment' bit etc. I agree, he did. But he deserved it. The world champ deserves all the best gear. Stoner should've jumped ship way sooner, and he'd have more than his two titles now. But see what's happened now he has the best gear?
Curtains.
As I've said elsewhere...he sure won't wank on about it for over a year as Rossi did with his shoulder. He's suffered arm pump before, I'm sure he'll sort it.
I reckon it will be closer. The Yamaha looks an awesome bike too this year, and they'll all have more power than they know what to do with.
Lorenzo for the next round too...then Stoner for Portugal, Lorenzo France, Stoner Catalunya and Great Britain and Assen etc etc...
