    It was a good thread.
Twas a great thread - unfortunately in the process of contributing I gained that many infractions I can't get back into P.D (my favoured haunt) for a refresher

You can get infracted out of PD? That's a cruel irony.

Tigertim, short-circuit - maybe there's life outside Kiwibiker. I have a qmoto jacket (got for FREE nil nada from another kber) I've had for 4 years or so...very happy with it. I have confidence it would stay together in a crash. I would not conclude that all qmoto stuff is awesome from this one jacket but I'm happy with it. I also have alpinestars gloves (stupid amount of money....roughly the RRP of the qmoto jacket)....I think they're shit....the first thing that came off them was the Alpinestars logos. I have no confidence they would stay apart in a crash. I would not conclude that all Alpinestars stuff is shit from this one set of gloves but I'm not happy with them.

I won't spend the next 5 year on KB bleating about how shit my Aplinestars gloves are nor whether they may or may not be made in Pakistan

Interesting, I have some Dainese winter gloves that fall very much into that category...I guess brand value gets us all at some stage or another. Sucks. In fact I wonder how many of these global brands are actually mainly design companies with limited manufacturing capacity in their own right....
