Errr... I've found another cheap GN...
If I buy it, I do hope somebody here comes over and punches me in the face

    I could strap 'em together and make a 250 + 250 + 250 + 300 + 600 GN...

Very tempting, but it won't have wire wheels
I'm thinking I should buy something extremely small, like a YB-1, CB100 or what-have-you and put the GN motor with a 79mm DR350 piston in it (or the DR600 engine)

The chap with the DR600 motor had a new cam for it too, which I've just purchased.
Motor should be on its way to me soon and then I'll give it a check over and possibly re-bearing/ring etc it, just because.

My little tiny legs are not going to like kick starting a 600cc single though

    There's a knack to it.

Don't kick too hard is the first thing.

I'm just glad they fitted them with a de-comp system.
But. it's all up in the air 'till I can figure out if the engine is useable anyway
Better get me a new number plate for the other bike in the mean time, maybe spend some money on it too

De-comp levers, are there to get the motor in the right spot so that you can kick start it, I understand.

My 400S was a piece of cake to kick with the right technique. I never actually kicked it - just used my (considerable) weight to do the work.

Yip, just move it through it's stroke smoothly, and away they go.

I thought they allowed it to turn over a once or twice to get a decent speed up before going full comp and firing. Tis easy enough to feel TDC without one I would have thought. Reckon GNlover is going to need to put on his heaviest boots either way
