    Did a compression test today,
    140psi/9.85 kg/cm2.
Suzuki manual says 142psi-200psi/10-14kg/cm2 is normal and 114psi/8kg/cm2 is low. So we're sweet in that department

Will slap another plug up it, the current one is mega fuck black.

My oil level likes to drop a lot though (hence the compression test) and there are no visible leaks after sitting in the garage all night.
Perhaps I have rooted valve stem seals? It is a wee bit smokey when cold, not enough smoke to determine if it's fuel or oil.

Currently hunting for a carb kit

I've never thought of that chur.

CBF starting it up at the moment though, enough work for today, got the flu real bad and I had to fix the lawn mower too, one of the kids ran over a branch = stalled motor = snapped key on the flywheel = ignition was 180 degrees out

found someone that sells the color matched paints for my blade too im stoked, once the aprilia is done looks like the blade will get some love, full repaint.. still have to sus out the decals but getting the correct base colors was proving tricky enough. stoked on that. Got a single seat cowl as well, so i got some of the paint today, just prepping the cowl today will hopefully paint it before sundown and have the cowl on in a few days, take the rear foot pegs off.. should be nice

I still think it'll look sick in white, but then again, everything I paint ends up white

lol just read your gasket mating surface prep method.

I can understand the juice.. but the razor blades uh uh might gouge the soft metal.

You're right, the black works on blades of that era.

You wuss, I've never had problems with razor blades.

lol im sure it would be fine, I use a plastic scraper to get old gaskets off anyway.

its the smoothing of the alloy/metal prior to refitting I was meaning. ya gotta use a iron grinding pad or whatever they are called, or a sheet of glass and emery paper as a substitute. I'm told its the way to go..
