    Thumbs up

Pics of the mounting or it didn't happen and yes it could degenerate into something less than a great build thread if you two aint careful.
Looking forward to seeing this one completed.

The alloy is getting dropped off to me.
The idiot lights sit between the bar clamps, below the bar, sort of.

    DR250 lump: $30

Will pick it up later this week and update

Here be the idiot light thingy, had a better idea for a hidden mount.
I can actually use the bars to clamp it down too...

I'm making a new batterry holder, the last one just didn't seem right. I want the battery as high up and hidden as possible, along with the wiring.

I picked up the DR lump this morning. It's an early 5 speed, no elec start motor

Clutch basket is smashed, who gives a shit?
It has, a reasonably recent 0.5mmO/S piston
Cam that measures to the same specs as my brand new cam
    New rockers/shafts
    Cam chain well within spec.
    Good bearings
Mint head, looks like it's been reconditioned, valves/springs are in great nic.

So, I'll be using the head.
If the GN bottom end explodes, I have a spare one, if I throw a piston out, I have a spare one.

    Fookin' win.

    I'll PM you

Ruined all my wire brushes on the dremel thing evening so I'll have to grab a few more of them.
New head: better cam journals, better rockers etc, new looking valves and seats, wall well within spec. Has a broken fin. Meh, I'll use this new head.
    I cleaned teh ports up.
Can't wait to get the barrel back from Bogan, throw it together and see how long it takes for it to explode

Well its one of few parts in no danger of getting taxed while it is here! Might try and smash it out this weekend.

Nope, there was just more light than usual.
Pics seem to suck when I take 'em in the garage, so I could just pull the bike out on those rare sunny days?
