with the 4p you actually have 3.5 weeks to do the 4 points if you like. Labour weekend is the week before it ends so starts 2 weeks before labour weekend

Hmmm.....well the C1KC did reach 'International' status last year. Perhaps we could arrange a 2nd day just to make it worth your while. It should be OK as long as we don't call it the "Grand C1KC" or the "TTC1KC"!

Unfortunately 1 Dec does not work for me...I would have been there before now if it did, being a Southlander n all. I generally look around June, Oct and late Feb and this year I will be home for a family Christmas as well...1st in 6 years.

While not wanting to discourage those earnest folks who feel a need to "organise" something, my preference is for an informal rendezvous of a small group happy to ride together to complete an agreed route. I hate committees, however well intentioned they may be. And sure as god made potholes, the first available weekend that will suit a bunch of folks, half of whom aren't really interested anyway, will be mid 2016.

There's going to be lots of organisation?

Nah... same weekend as it was going to be, pick a route, get on with it. Don't make the route too easy either... maybe even run sections of previous ones? Or whole previous GC? Pick a random number between 1 and 25 perhaps? Corresponds to a previous GC.

Making it easy or trying to suit everyone is no fun... there's meant to be a small element of pain

    Edit: Found this: http://andrew.hedges.name/experiments/random/ First 3 numbers (in order): 8, 5, 18

Thinking about setting up an alternative ride on the same weekend, covering the same distance, but with less formal organisation. Anyone keen to be involved?

Was just saying the same thing to a mate yesterday. I do agree with The Hitch. Turn up same place, same weekend and hammer something out.... if you have an idea, bring it, old run sheets etc.
