    Kayaba fork stanchions pre 1981?

i'm looking for some 37mm Kayaba fork legs pre 1981 720mm long.
Maybe the VMX people might be able to point me in the right direction for some replacements
    any clues out there please?

dunno, if i knew I wouldn't be asking.
The bike was Chopped in 1981 has 37mm legs looks like GS1000 fork lowers (not the GS1000L ones as the axle on mine are at the bottom of the fork instead of at the front)
GS1000 lower triple clamp unsure of upper triple clamp that's my next mission...

GS1000 fork legs are around 600mm, some 585 some 610 although I do not know what length the GS1000 L ones are...
the rear shock is from a CR480R honda, so it's possible fork tubes are Honda too

    Did you find any parts?

A mate has heaps of GS and GSX stuff but has no internet at the mo. His house got burgaled and they pinched his PC's WITH the software with all the parts lists and interchange for all Suzuki models.
I have some forks here I will have a look/measure of too

You might find something suitable here http://www.clubchopper.com/forums/me...diameters.html

better chart (easier to read, anyway) here http://scandalon.com/2009/06/motorcy...iameter-chart/
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.
