Whangarei to Doubtless Bay St Johns ride ANZAC Day

The annual Ulysses St Johns ride on ANZAC Day is to Coopers Beach St John this year on the wed. We are hoping the Auck lot will join up as usual and would love your support. Will leave Whg Burger King approx 10-10.30 and go directly up SH1-SH10 to Coopers. There will be raffles and pisstaking and a feed which will be 10-15$ a head. There is no cost to ride, it is a social thing.
The good part is the choice of roads to go home! I particularly enjoy the Taipa tp Pamapuria rd followed by extensive Mukarage of the Maungas. Or the Matauri loop and then twin bridges or Old Russell Rd.

Was a mint day alright.

We took your advice and went left at Taipa and took the Harleys off-road....yehaa!!!! Damn them locals go pretty quick through there.

Then we hit the Mangamukas and then just for good measure went through Twin Bridges. Big day of riding just home now. Always great to support the local services so thanks for letting us Fat Bikers join in. Hopefully we will bring a bigger (in number not size) group along next year.....
