    Info on Road Racing

    Hello,
I'm wanting to get into an entry level of Road Racing, can someone give me a website I can look at for finding the classes avaliable, I've been involved with bikes for the past 30yrs but never raced on the Tarseal, I'm looking along the lines of a Pre89?

Any help with info of someone I can talk too or a website would be great.

    Thanks.

I don't think we have a pre '89 field down here (might be wrong) but we do have a pre '82 class.

Have a look on the CAMS website - the AGM racemeeting is coming up in a few weeks at Ruapuna, and yes, we run a pre 89 class.

Plenty of help and advice available.

Start off in the Premier class (Buckets) cheap entry level class with good numbers on the grid and competive racing, it a good cheapish way to see if you like it and riding a low HP bike teaches you some good race craft

I'm pretty sure i'm going to look at the Pre89 Class, would be good to some feed back on what bike people would run with in that class, i'm thinking FZR400 - 750 ZXR400 - 750?

Thanks for your feed back to date.
