TT350 alternative suspension?

Ive just bought a pretty well wrecked tt350 and thought it would be a good project to fill in my time. Im in the UK so Im paying extra for all my parts as it was not imported into the UK-big mistake!!.

Im slowly working my way through the jobs and am at the rear shock. I would like to fit a different one and I am busy trawling through ebay looking at shocks.

can anyone save me some time and tell me what other rear shocks would fit the tt350 which is 440mm length bottom mount 25mm and top 28mm

Absolutely no idea, I mean you're looking for something cheap that will drop in, but I think you'd be lucky. You might have to give Hagon a call & get them to build you something to suit. But how much to capitalise into an old bike? A mate down the road had one. Got up some slippery trails, but boy was it heavy.

i owned one in the nineties and it was a great dirtbike but bloody heavy alrite
in your shoes id have the original shock rebuilt, regassed etc
afterall it was made for the job

This was a model that aftermarket stuff never really existed for, or at least aftermarket stuff that worked well. Rebuilding the shock is the best option, perhaps with an aftermarket piston as the stock piston is very crude. But theres not so much shaft length to accomodate a proper piston and valving without some creativity.

I half expected that I would end up having to get the original shock rebuilt, but I had hoped I might have saved a few bucks with another make of shock.
Wilbers sell new shocks, but they are VERY expensive, ie 536 UK pounds for one with the remote resevoir

Thats about the going rate for a shock that actually works properly, which Wilbers will.
