Watched the nightmare happen right infront of me. Our hearts all stopped for a moment and there was great silence as the reality of the situation unfolded. Deepest sympathies are with his friends and family, and all those who were there racing with him today and helping out with the Vic Club. A sobering ride home for me, a good man and a very sad end. RIP. What a crap day.

Hug here if you need one kiddo.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

If you can't eulogise the rider in question, just shut it.

You can't begin to understand what that man did for me and people like me. His death isn't a chance for you to point out that you were connected to him through some "brotherhood of bikers" bullshit.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

It's not like he came on here and slagged a dead man off without knowing the facts though is it Jim. Takes a real winner to do that.

Dude, Sorry you knew the guy. But fuck off and be a keyboard warrior somewhere else. Its news i put it up because its relavent to the website and I'm sorry to hear about someone getting hurt or killed doing what we all enjoy.
I still think its shit the news jumps on every opportunity to show motorcycling is dangerous. Dont like what i post, avoid reading it, go bother someone else.

    Condolences.

perhaps people should stop taking this thread as an opportunity to make somethig all about themselves, and focus the thread on condolences and thoughts for all those involved - perhaps the better way to respect a persons memory, particularly if it was someone you were close to.
Lets keep it on topic lads - not a thread for shit slinging!!!

    Moderator warning

firstly my deepest sympathies to friends, families and racers, marshalls and organisers of Vic.

For everyone else who either witnessed it or not, those friends who were not at the racing today, you are in my thoughts.

Please be aware friends are grieving and hurting, this thread will not turn into a slinging match, please be respectful and mindful

(the Mod team will be pruning any posts as needed)

I too have been a part of the Vic club series when my ex partner used to race a few years ago.......

My heart goes out to all those who attended and witnessed this today. My condolences to the family and friends of this rider and to all those affected by this incident.

Very unfortunate for the motorcycling fraternity and more un-needed publicity to follow no doubt.

Tomorrow will be hard for those racing. My thoughts will be with you all as you continue on with this event

Exactly. The op has started a genuine thread, about a horrific outcome regarding a guy doing what we all love. Shame some need to turn it into a "I knew him better than you" rant.

The GC racer bar in the sky must be getting close to overflowing nowadays.

    Condolences to family & friends,
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. (John 15:13)
