Go to welding tips and tricks on YouTube , he does great tutorials on all kinds of welding.

rather than going over the shitty welds with another pass, maybe you should grind them out and reweld them
It isn't a maybe thing. I dont wanna get dramatic, but I'll wager it breaks in a bad way very quickly.

I'm not unsympathetic, still rather the thing was built properly to test that front end.

I don't think you are trying to convince me of anything drew. I think your intention is to shame me. Is it working?

Not my intent at all man. Have someone who knows how to weld come have a look. Better safe than sorry.

I'm interested in seeing how that front end works.

Nice work Moooools. I love the invation wit the front end. It making me sit down and think about what I have sketched up now and weatehr it can be improved upon by "borrowing" your idea.

I genuinly dont think Drew is trying to shame you. He just has the internet tact of a sledge hammer.

From my personal experience a broken frame is not that much fun.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

I am glad. The way you come across has a big impact on how your input is taken, whether you like that or not.

Now I am not the best welder, but have spent a lot of time with the MIG torch before this. I know what a weld looks like when it doesn't penetrate. I make sure all of my welds have good penetration.
Several people who know how to weld have taken a look at the welds, and apart from aesthetically, have not mirrored your comments on lack of penetration.
The idea behind this build has been minimum time outlay. I am very busy, and often the fast-but-workable option outweighs the pretty option or the industry best practice option. Some parts you see are a result of this.

The photo's are not great quality, and are in unusual lighting. May I suggest this is contributing to your concerns?

I am confident it will not see major structural failure, but I wouldn't be surprised if I saw a few cracks appear down the line either.

    Cheers.

I wasn't exactly going for innovation, more like: what is a nice easy way to do this? But I am glad people like the design.

I think the entire internet has the internet tact of a sledge hammer. Something about anonymity does that to people.

No I can't imagine a broken frame is much fun.

My cousin wasn't allowed to have Night as his sons middle name. Births Deaths and Marriages sent him a letter saying the birth certificate form was void.

You were. I have been round here long enough to know when you are not being polite.
