This was my 28th Brass, I look forward to it all year, I catch up with folk there who I only see once a year.
So what do you attribute the reclining numbers to then?

problem is there's always going to be a point where it's just not worth the effort to organise/pay for itself, what happens when that stage is reached?

My point was how do you get it back where it's attracting people and the numbers are on the rise again?

Saturated MC rally market, the fact that it is still hapening after 35 odd years speaks how strong the Brass event is.

Personally I don't care, I an actually glad if the soft cock summer sports bike brigade don't go to this one.

Interesting the numbers thing... to be honest there will always be big ones and small ones.... yes this one for sure was one of the smaller. This was my 11th... and I have enjoyed everyone, through from warm and sunny, heaps of entertainment, little entertainment, snow, ice, boggy muddy drizzly ones. To me the Brass is like a new years for me. Every one has been memorable for varying reasons. Hopefully the brass is forever... though thick and thin of weather and economic times.

Sorry to hear about the gear box Flip.
A bit of a bugger and all that.

I can see why you need a complete gear box now.
Feel the fear and do it anyway

Well, all that sleep is probably the reason you're still such a handsome fellow and I look so haggard and worn out!

Great photo's. I even managed to get into one of them! I'm the guy in the background wearing a red jacket in the photo of the Jesus bike with the tall ape hangers.

Interesting discussion on the numbers. This was my first rally and I enjoyed it. The guys I rode with all said the numbers were way down, but I enjoyed wandering around and meeting new people and chatting about bikes and whatever. Made lots of new friends.

I was talking about the badgers, not rally goers.
