Quote from Guy Martin's latest interview

If you could race in any era, when would it be?
The ’60s, no question. Look at the bikes: the Honda six-cylinder 250/297; the four-cylinder 125cc Yamaha… Fascinating stuff. I’d love it for the machinery, but I also think I’d get less attention, because I’d stand out less. I stand out now, because I’m different, but back in the 1960s everyone was doing the same things I do. I’d also love to be in 1993 so I could race John Britten’s own Britten around Wanganui, New Zealand.

A smart man would ask him to do a couple of demonstration laps on the Britten on Boxing Day.

Obviously someone would have to foot the bill............. but im sure there would be a few irish road racers who would do that trip just for the crack (or the criag or whatever they say).
Be a good excuse to leave UK/Ireland at christmas.
    Guy Martin
Micheal Dunlop would be my first choices.... sure you all have other names.
They would probebly class our tracks as a road also.........
Be a great drawcard with Martin after the film.

Speaking of Shaun, he's been awful quiet lately, Anyone know what he's up to?

I dont think it would be hard for Guy to get a ride around Wangas on a superbike, I think his point is more about riding the Britten.

He would be a good drawcard for a new type of crowd, every housewife who reads Womans Weekly knows who he is.

I dunno Merv, I reckon it'd be an even money bet alround: Dan, one of our boys (Chop, Stroudy, Craig, Nick), and a few of the Northern hemisphere contingent. I can't see anyone doin' it easy!
