Snap! Me too. My old Rover is 15 yrs old and has never ever failed to start. The body rust is the problem. I've bolted aluminium straps across the failed body bits which looks naff but works. Its a spare now.
Still, the Masport President is even better so far. 200mm wheels make the mower easier to push, its quieter, and even more powerful.
The Honda mowers tend to be a bit more expensive - $1000+ but as people say, good machines.
Owned a Lawn business for 10ys .. used only Victa Mustang's 2T & a USA - 7HP Self driven walk behind Lawnboy . Ran all 2T motors on Castrol TTS nothing else ..

Im a qualified lawn mower mechanic. Well small engine it was called when I did it. But back then it was Ironhorse motors. God that job sucked. For christ sake cant people clean the dog shit off the mowers before taking them in for repair????
