It sounds great in theory but as I understand it, the truth of it is less than ideal.
I agree and have had many in depth 'conversations' over a number of years with many that lead treatment programmes for sex offenders here in NZ. In theory, the use of castration whether chemical or actual would effectively mean that they no longer had the body parts required to effect and maintain an erection so therefore can do no more harm.

Unfortunately as I understand it - it is BECAUSE they can no longer satisfy their perversions, the thoughts turn to violence and it was suggested that not only would they use other implements to try and reach sexual satisfaction but that additionally, in their ensuing frustration and anger they would kill their victims.

Unfortunately, there are many sex offenders here in good ole NZ that are given sentences that are too short for any effective rehab work to e done and there are a number (of paedophiles in particular) who will never be rehabilitated and therefore should never see the outside of prison walls.

These guys are sick, call them what you will, but they have a psychological problem. Chemical castration will do nothing to stop the 'urge' merely force them to change the tools they use. Something is broken in their head and that is where the fixing needs to take place.

It's interesting that someone can go batshit crazy in the street and hurt someone and people will say "this person is bipolar so we can't hold them accountable for their actions" Yet a child molestor or peadophile will be strung up. Aren't both examples of a broken person with a mental disease?

It's just another sign that the government doesn't give a fuck about the citizens.

As I have gotten older (grown up), I have considered myself someone that was able to look at any situation from "both sides"..... this subject matter, however, I find impossible to.

No matter why these cunts feel the need, no matter what life experience twisted their mind (some are nature, others are nurture), we need to remove them from the gene pool. Quickly.

    Ill do it. No Charge.

Yea, but you may have a different opinion if you or someone you cared about was a victim, and by victim, I mean buried in a shallow grave in the forest somewhere.
