NSW ditches rego stickers for tech

Interesting. NSW is getting rid of rego stickers. They say they don't need them because technology like number plate readers means there not needed. So save the expense.

On the flip side, other people who already have this are saying there is more unregistered vechicles now, because humans can't tell if there rego is expired by just looking at the vehicle now.


We tend to copy Australia, so I think it is only a mater of time before we get this to. So should we stick the expense of printing out stickers, posting them to everyone, and having them adhered to our windows, or just keep the money for doing this in our back pocket?

all very well and good, but if you think that we as motorists will save a single cent, you are seriously deluded.

If anything, theyll add an additional cost on to our registrations, to cover the cost of buying enough plate reading thineemejigs to spread around the country.
