I know, none of mine have ever got themselves spayed/neutered either, I always end up having to take the lazy sods to the vet myself (and pay for it myself too)

the qualificiation there was just for fun kiwis smell like food (better than chicken...
and no they don't "all the time", infact not too often at all, but that's still too many, and generally there's someone to take responsibility, not just ""oh that's what they do"

But you'd have no problem if your dog strayed onto my property, with me shooting it in the head right? Serious question.

serious answer: no. i'd accept that i'd failed in my responsibility as an owner, and accept your right as a lawful occupant of the property to do that
, of course if my dog wasn't harrassing your stock or being a nuisance then i'd think you'd be a bit more reasonable and chain it up and give me a bollocking, but if not, then not.

like them guys down in warkworth who shot 30-odd dogs, because ONE had got loose and mauled stock. fair enough. they humanely executed them. if the owner of those 30 dogs was looking after his shit, that would never have happened. those guys should walk.

awwww. how cuuuute! and soon she'll be killing birds and leaving them behind the couch for you.. aint that just daaaarling!

srsly. cats should be microchipped, and native birds banded (anyone seen the movie fortress? you'll know where this is going...)
and if a cat comes within 4ft of a native bird... well. watch fortress, you'll get the point.

good on those responsible owners who fork out shit loads of money to feed a pe(s)t and do look after it, nueter it, vaccinate it. full credit to them

orcas kill penguins. heaps of them, daily. should we go around collaring them?

only the worst of dogs maime kids, but pets reflect their owners, (anyone feeling a bit catty?)
and, like children, owners should need to pass a basic IQ/handling test before being allowed to have them.

i'm not saying dogs don't kill shit. and asides from the fact that we're talking about the damage CATS do, (dogs are a fair abstraction, (my pet ferret likes to eat kiwi eggs and fluffly wittle wabbits too...))
MORE people are responsible dog owners than are responsible cat owners, you can't justify feeding a cat that kills endemic fauna by saying "oh but dogs can/have/do too"
that's like me justifying pissing on your lawn because your cat does too, now howd'ya like dem apples?

They weren't humanely executed. A bullet to the head is humane not all the dogs were lucky enough to get this.

The judge described Campbell as a gun-happy cowboy who dangerously embarked on a massacre.

She said she couldn't contemplate a more inhumane act than their killing of puppies.
Blood stains in the cage indicated some of the dogs bled heavily and moved to other parts of the cage in great pain before dying.

"No person in their right mind would consider it either humane or safe to shoot in a cage with eight dogs moving in it.''
