Thats what i am saying no old bikes will ever get there again only if the derbi blows up and face it with all the cool kit shit out there for them they dont. even if he has a crash no one has a chance. close raceing is the best

Time to just start making our own...

That's right you are already giving it a go.

Gos back to a conversation Scott and myself had a while back.
Cast up some cases modelled off the RS125 using the good old TF or RG gearbox. Case reed and a derbi cylinder big bore road kit.. Could go fancy and do a dry clutch and balance shaft as well.
If we design things right then the plug could be used for a twin...

If we did it real good then we could convert to a fourstroke twin. With VFR400 heads and short stroke..

thats not a 5 min job , say we did it and it blew everyone away , even though it would be a true built bucket i don't think we would be liked out there , maybe a new rule should be , you have to off built 1 major componet if useing rs parts

Just about ready for you scotty...

And while I'm babbling. The lightweight production class proposed by MNZ looks like fun.
Been going through bikes that might fit.
    KTM RC390
    Honda CBR?
    KAWASAKI Ninja 300
    Yamaha R3

I'd think this would be a barrel of laughs..

Yip it's quite wide, but not to bad in the scheme of things.

Actually it's as wide as the GPZ sitting on the floor..

Sorry I thought it was the DT/TZR125 engine.
You think I would have noticed the 2 carbs in the first pic

Looks to me like everyone needed to ride way faster to match Nathaniel's corner speeds. Entry and mid corner were nice and quick from looking at the video. Jus sayin.
