Hey Mr BR, check yr email
Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!

Very cool. Might give them a bell. Need some wheels for the NSR.

Didn't you guys just build a two stroke ?

    Hand built cylinder from scratch.
Using a random idea and untested method.
Shame you only managed 29.8hp at 10,000rpm with a 24mm Carb.

Not even a mention within the ESE thread. (Corrected: this is not quite true, used as a placeholder; to lead into the next set of statements. This isn't fair on Robs recognition of effort that you guys had put in).

Not really good enough to be recognised by anyone out of NZ.
    - no doubt if you had hand ported a lawn mower to the same specs, then some recognition would have been forth coming.
Shame you only managed 29.8hp at 10,000rpm with a 24mm Carb. Damn already said that...

Shame it didn't perform at the GP.
Forth wasn't that flash, if you guys had read the ese thread and applied everything that has been offered up: then well.....

You might have got.... well.... forth... more than likely...
It's more than a motor or a bike that wins races - and man was it close for a good amount of the race...
The really cool thing was it finished, it was at the point end - and you guys did it your way.
That's a win in my book (all be it a win for kiwi persistence and left field thinking).
And let's be fair - most of the best results and stepped enhancements in GPs (real bikes) came from people applying their own theories to problems and working through the the issues in a different manner.

At least another one of your bikes got third (but better not mention that as its not a two stroke).

The really sad thing about all of this.
Shame things have degraded to the level it has, originally some valid points were raised and personal opinions (that differed from conventional views) were put foreword (those views were shot down very very harshly). Context was lost and the whole thing degraded to a pissing comp. and it's still going...
Great that Wobs got a job (he is a very talented tuner).

Maybe this will also mean a little less frustrated keyboard harassment of those putting their own concepts forward and little time to reply to a million Kart related questions that have pushed Rob out of his own great thread...

The mighty Team GPR 125cc air cooled two stroke with a hidden secret.

    Attachment 320467

Inside the air scoop is two high powered fans, these worked well and if the bike had a generator it looks like the fans would have been able to keep the engine temperature more reasonable for the whole race, clever idea.
The GPR125 impresses me, I have talked about it several times on the ESE thread, The GPR 125 is probably the highest powered 2T that has finished more races than any other 30hp air cooled unit, certainly more than mine.

Here's a picture of the race bike we have just finished with a three piece CNC barrel and CNC air cooled head, it pulls outrageous hp and torque figures for its bucket racing restrictions. Will post up more pictures tomorrow.
I would love Seymore to post more details on the ESE thread about this great Bucketeering effort.

I have turned to Islam, and it is against my religion.

I am now the angriest pacifist you will ever meet...

Speaking of things I can't speak about, when are you fuckers going to let the oldies have a chance at a GP and race it at a bigger track? We all know who the King of Tokoroa is, let others have a fair go for once...

    fuckers...

    Peace out.

I am with you there, loved those two day TRRS meetings after Xmas at Taupo, got a GP podium finish there one year. What track would you favor? Manfield could be good, more central, something easier for southern teams to get to. It would be great to run the GP on a bigger track again. I have been to the BoB at Ruapuna a couple of times, once to ride another time to spectate. It would be great to be able to have the GP more accessible for everyone.
