    Mouth watering.

Maybe even getting our shit sorted and get some local racing sorted - so we can talk about our own shit and have fun again!!!

Shame you only managed 29.8hp at 10,000rpm with a 24mm Carb.

Not even a mention within the ESE thread. (Corrected: this is not quite true, used as a placeholder; to lead into the next set of statements. This isn't fair on Robs recognition of effort that you guys had put in).

Not really good enough to be recognised by anyone out of NZ.

Yes Husa. And yes, as TZ had already shown.

800 views of shiny white balls... That reminds me of my student days

I assume you are trying to make a point with this post; I also assume you read what I wrote and thought about what was written.
Or is this a case of keyboards at dawn?

I will be well into my work day at dawn.........
    I did read your post.

What I am saying, in my own roundabout way is, if you want publicity, it pays to advertise.........

No photos of your balls though........

Can't say I'm that flash at that time of day... Late starter and require significant amount of coffee.

It's not quite the same when it's shameless self promotion, or when very few actually understand the efforts or even give two hoots or in some cases just flat out bag the efforts or state everything done is a fken waste of time or effort.

Shameless self promotion is sometimes what it takes to get noticed.
Have you forgotten how much of that John Britten did back in the day.
There will always be those wanting to bag. I think its a Kiwi thing.
Imagine being an All Black like I was and having to read the game reviews and blogs.

Well yea I suppose - but not really my point.

Shit falls down, those that sit high and mighty; need to remember that those they want to look up at them, still smell and taste the shit. Things can get sour fast and people will stop looking up.

    Almost made sense...

On a more sadder note, worthy of a read.

It would be easier if there were groupies.

Track hire ... Taupo number 2 track $4500 per day Sat and Sun, ($9000 for the weekend). Manifield about half that, Tokoroa was $450 for the two days. When are you GPR fuckers going to sponsor a GP at Taupo or Manfield so we can all race at a real track without having to pay more than we can afford ...

The guys who organised Tokoroa are keen. They can supply a Steward and Clerk of the Course and MNZ permit you will need Flagies and race secretary, sign on people, medic, scrutineers and of course a race meeting to go to.

And that gentlemen sums it up in a nutshell.

TRRS - was a massive undertaking by a very small group of committed people: whom kindly invited buckets to be involved. Little benefit for them. Noted - all involved likely thanked them - noted not to upset people.....

Lunchtime breaks are needed (vollies are actually covered under employment law and having breaks is part of this and the are H&S considerations that need to be considered: Heath and wellbeing - exposure etc. etc.).
On top of this is issues around liability and permits (ran into this last round - running my junior training session at lunch and having an accident)...
Things aren't just that simple any more... Everyone has to except that times have changed, even in hillbilly land...
Even with our own flaggies, they would have to be involved with the wider original safety briefing and there would be complexities around CoC/Steward swapping under MNZ permits (which would cost more being a NZ title - than it would for general club permit)..

But, we as a community can't not just wish or expect clubs/groups/private orgs - to invite us along (to full in lunch breaks - which are had to ensure that their vollies can have a bite to eat and relax a bit); if we do not get involved or help said clubs/groups first and work with them to ensure the boxes are ticked.

    Rant time.....
This is something that really frustrates me (being on the inside of a club whom struggles to get vollies - and really attempts to look after the ones we do get). Plenty of riders (not racing on said day) don't put their hands up to help out organisers; then wander why things don't happen for them in the future...

Reminds me of last VMCC round, plenty of comments about the lunch break. "Why do the vollies need a break?" "Just drop them out a bagged lunch!" "It's not fair, now it's raining and Me mate could have had a dry race"....
Little recognition that the vollies had given up their day (for free) been on track & helping setup since 7am (and it was only just 10 degrees and about to turn to shit).... At least the organisers could do is give them a feed.
A significant about of these types of comments came from nonracing riders supporting their buddies (I'm all for this, but they would have been better off helping the organisers to ensure the meeting actually ran rather than bitching about how it's run)...

Bigger picture, a number of non racing riders whom bitch about how things are run (or not offered by clubs) within the club they belong too; whom can't actually be bothered turning up to their clubs AGMs and state what they want from said club.... Get proactive and get involved.

Sighhhh, it's been a long week. I feel better after a rant though.
No doubt some people will read lots into this, I'm not picking on anyone - merely pointing out the complexities that now exist, it's not that simple to just do stuff like the old days. It sucks but, if the sport (big and small) is to survive then we need to play by the rules and suck it up.

Side note. Manfield backtrack ~$1400 plus gst per day. But you need to cover required ambo now (new requirement post H&S regs).... A weekend deal could be done or 1.5 days (0.5 being non racing track time without ambo)....

    And completely left field:

I certainly wouldn't want to be starting out again in today's climate.
To what he already said, add limitations being placed on circuits which mean less days available which equals ever higher costs....

    Get in line.

Starting to save now, a GP race meet at a larger track could even be committed to now for everyone, but there is no heart to want to go there. Just wanted to get that cleared up.

I won't be coming back to video another Ground Hog Day, or spending my money towards a benefit concert for one person. Hope you enjoyed the dog-tags, they are collectors items now...
