Just heading off for a weekend of dirtbike riding.

My GG300 is fantastic. But I wonder what it would be like if someone made a slighty smaller lighter frame for it, though I'm not sure that sort of thing could be done in New Zealand.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.

I won't be coming back to video another Ground Hog Day, or spending my money towards a benefit concert for one person. Hope you enjoyed the dog-tags, they are collectors items now...
Be sure, I'm not picking on anyone.

I'd love to race GP again at Taupo. But it's going to take a lot more effort that yester-year.

And everyone needs to know about these efforts that are required.
One very good thing about paying into a team account regularly. Money builds up and covers more expensive trips and entries.

One good thing is that the GP is far removed from the rest of the fun we all have.
Welly, north island series, traveling south and very very very soon local fun.

And, there is no automatic wins, so who's to say it's ground hog day...

Looked at Ambo sites to try to figure out the cost but no joy. So guesstimated it based on skilled labor and machine charge out rates.

Manfield two days = $2,800 and the Ambo could easily double that so $5,600

Assuming 45 paid up riders spread over all Bucket classes and the GP.

$5,600 / 45 = $125 probably some other expenses like transponder, cleanup afterwards so maybe $165 (Taupo looks like $280)

We are used to paying 35-45 would something like 165 fly for enough people? Is there someone or a group in the Manfield area to under-wright the financial risk and happy to take on the organisation. The Auckland guys would be very happy to come to a meeting they have not had to organize themselves.

Ambo, cost between 500-1200 a day depending on level of on site response.

To answer your question re local club etc. the answer is kinda...

I'll get all the info I've got and email it through to key personal, we have had some discussion (but usually it's been around 11pm and a fair few beers)...

Yeah I just rolled my eyes and said what the fuck out loud. Frankly I try not to look at this thread anymore as it just pisses me off when people go on the personal attacks. Its not doing anything positive for the sport.

I thought everyone was turning up for my benefit. But you guys are still doing it. Odd.
Also you were supposed to let me win. Was there a memo that got lost?

    Let's start over.....

This thread was about what the hillbillies were up to in Palmy nth.
Many exciting bucket related bits, builds and even some suggestions have come through this thread over the last few years.

Some excitement is surfacing as news has finally hit hillbilly land....

Suzuki has upgraded the FXR150 motor - the engine has always been used in underbone chassis line the Suzuki Raider and the later Satria 150 (FU150). The FXR was a bastard child of this concept (a market that died off).

In south east Asia underbone racing is one of the key classes; those that have followed the Asia telant cup and other preMotogp classes will already know this.

I've been a little slow on the uptake this year, but it seems the Suzuki have upgraded to Satria 150 in response to Yamaha domination in the underbone classes.

Enter the Satria F150 Injeksi (injected).

Those with a keen eye will note that it is watercooled...

    Same bore and stroke.

Looks the business to me, maybe a trip is in order... Or just encourage Suzuki that they would be great here; even if they used the FXR chassis. (Or the proposed GSXR150).

A few more pics of the motor here:

Pity they didn't take advantage of the injection to put a decent downdraft inlet port on the thing...

I for one would be sorry to see this thread die. Some of the most interesting stuff on KB is in here.

    Ew yuck, a diesel

Keen to hear more about the GPR 2 banger Kwaka. Been ridden much down there? How's it going? Is Regan comfortable riding the bull/steamrolling?
Any plans to make more? Maybe a F5 bike?

Most of those were the older air cooled (FXR motors).
Likely most of those drag engines will have the 10mm stroked crank and 72mm piston kits... Not really 150cc..

But man I'd love to get off the line like that...
