Have had a word with Crazyman, he is going to have another crack at sorting the steering out, all being equal we should be able to make Roys Hill. I will leave the last word with him, but I am keen. May need to give him the week to see if he can fit it in.

Sorry about the shaking, it was windy in the tower and Rapunzel could not keep her hands off me.

Yeah, really is his thing alright, shame about Kieran's little indescretion at the start, but he and Brian certainly had a major collision on that front straight, it was good to see them both bounce back up in a hurry, quite the crash!

Did not get Regan's big off in the second race, but I will see what he captures on his onboard camera, you'll notice that Regan just disappears from the footage a few laps in, he is in fact standing at the end of the main straight after a real stinger of a fall, bet his knee ain't to flash today! Notice too that there is no such thing as team orders in our camp either, as Crazyman and Reg almost have a coming together at the end of the front straight on the first lap (half hour till that footage is posted).

    See ya all soon.

Very cool start, the grass obviously had great traction! What about the jump start from row 4, looks like the rider thought the green flag being placed up in the air meant go

Yes, Kieran said his clutch was slipping badly and just had to go, he was the inside faller on the front straight crash, the two locked handlebars it appears.

Hey Crazyman you going to bring your tricycle to Tokoroa, fixed the back end of mine and hopefully the chain stays on now. Have even fitted the big bore kit so should have at least 10 hp

The bro is extremely busy leading up to the event, did not sound hopeful, will offer my woeful talents to help push it along!

Meanwhile, here is a slightly different view for Race 3 from Roys Hill.

Crash protection Option: Fairings.... it seems to me that even nylon will cause issues as the bigger the impact (on the smaller number of points) the bigger the mess.

lets make up some rotary moulded fairings and spread the impact load. nice simple shape like these Metrakits Pre125; but make them 4 panels so they can be replaced easily.
Add this to the swingarm covers & top triple clamp covers; that we have discussed..

    Sounds like another winter project.

Weight... who give 2 F##ks if we can't race on tracks then we have 80kgs of wasted weight anyway....

OK so for my next bit of thinking is track damage...
As a group of riders we are all responsible for this happening. so we need to come up with a solution that we can offer up when by chance (and all best intentions) the worst happens.
The repair option that comes to mind is some form of epoxy or rubber sealing compound that can be used to not only fill the gouge but bond the side surfaces to reduce the risk of further "break away" asphalt.

it might be worth looking into something like this:
    https://pass.partsmaster.com/webimag...Mega-Patch.pdf

or have a look at the AK10 (rubber compound melter); don't think this would offer any grip...
    http://www.asphaltkingdom.com/video-center.html

    Ramsets two pot epoxy:
    http://www.ramset.co.nz/products/pro...injection.html

polyurea joint filler (designed to be mixed with dried aggregates to form a textured fill):

More to come on this topic
