Kinky is using a feather. Perverted is using the whole chicken
bikes all packed and ready to go , the 50 had the first blast down the road and sounded as good as on the dyno
8:35 wasn't a good time to realise I'd forgotten to sharkfin the 50. Oh well 30 min work.
Don't you look at my accountant.

Quicker results I'd think. Good call if they fit.

Right, over the last couple of years there has been many requests from event organizers around the noise levels of bike (four strokers are particularly noisy).
Highlighted again at the GPs this year is the fact that many people either don't care or don't know what to do to bring their bikes down into a lower DB range.
We have been on the quest to shut up our bikes without loosing power and have come up with a number solutions and designs.
So Scotty and myself will post up information for those that care.
Fact of the matter is that those that dont care need not bother turning up to events, because it will save the organisers the shit feeling of kicking thier ass out and down the road.
Would be good to have the noise meter at the track at if not every but most event like Bennet did at Te Puke a few years back for random tests and so those that are unsure can ask the question with a clear answer.
I know my bike isint perfect (and I welcome anyone to pul me up on it any time), and my last solution was a insert in the end of the pipe that no doubt robbed some much needed ponies.
I've said to Scotttttt he should make a production run of the underslung mufflers/and/or pipes. Most people just can't fabricate stuff & live in the illusion that less noise = less power.
Typical response is "Such & such's bike is noisier than mine" "Fishe (insert official) has never pulled me up on it"
If there were a few bolt on FXR systems displayed at the pits: Quiet, gain 2hp, this many $$, people would buy them.

I had a mate who is an audio engineer test our bike with his very expensive meter at different speeds and distances to make sure we were ok, as I thought the bike was to loud. We are underHe said it is the frequency that makes it sound loud
Probably correct - but it's relatively easy to silence a particular frequency. See The Racing Motorcycle Vol 2....
It's written up very well cos in the UK and probably Europe too, they test at specific piston speeds, hence all your work goes into silencing at that particular frequency....

Bet you wish you were still this young Regan...(might make it easier to keep up!)
See Dad is proud of his "noddy" award (look on sidecar!). What did he do this time?
