    Cool Gpr125

Ok, time to fess up (a little bit). We are having a crack at a two stroke conversion (which will remain nameless for now). Having access to a CNC means I only have to find the time, ha ha, that comes around very infrequently!

Still, here is a start point. Trouble is with a barrel, is the obvious, difficult to machine ports! So needs to be made up of several parts, I have knocked it down to 3 pieces, a base plate with upstanding fingers that have curvature in them. The main portion of the barrel itself has the rest of the ports machined into them forming the outside wall of the ports. The afore mentioned piece creates the inside wall.

Obviously once both have been spigoted together and machined down the bore for alignment, I will need to make the last component, that of the sleeve.

Images are a little hard to make out, I have shown the two baseplates apart, partially engaged, and pushed home. I was hopeful for a slight press fit, but they are tightish and the sleeve creates the rest of the structure. Will need to machine exhaust port/stub, and relieve much of the bulk from the outside, also hopefully putting undercut rings into it for snapfitting (and then welding) ample finnage on at the end.

Regan has been busy too, a new tank for a new bike!

    GPR125.

nice to know , I ran a yz80 carb on my 100 at taupo , it was easy the fastest bike out there , after that found small carbs easy to tune on engines that should have larger ones , some silly reson I go back to bigger ones but can't with this so will see how it go's

Yeah only the dyno can tell you what is best with carbs. I ran a back to back test. 30mm PWK V 32mm PWK and the 32 was 1.5hp up at peak and exactly the same everywhere else. Then I brought an FCR. it idles nice
