Well it now has the worlds most buckled wheel but previous owner didn't seem motivated to fix it.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
whats the Spada / gl145 doing that we cant fix on here?
Doesn't rev over 5k rpm. It just coughs and farts and goes nowhere.
So far as I can see, the wiring is sound. Timing is spot on. Cam timing is spot on. There is no leaks in the inlet/head/exhaust. Motor is stock except for shorter pipe. Compression is good. Valve clearances are good. Not sure if its the stock carb, but its about the same size, just a little keihin round slide job. Have tried jets from 105-122, doesn't seem to make a difference..
Obviously I'm missing something, but I can't figure it out..
5K is where its starting to make power and cylinder pressure, so possibly an electrical breakdown under load in the coil, cap, plug or black box.
Dad tells me TZ's sometimes had a similar problem and it was the spring in the kill switch going into sympathetic oscillation at a certain rpm allowing the button to bounce around killing the motor like a rev limiter.
just got the cosh drive made for my front wheel to make it a rear . thank god dads in new york l dont have to sneak now
