Another day in paradise. Got a good burn going at Scotty's tonight, just the usual, flames 4 stories high, bloody gorse...

Helicopter came over, piss off fire brigade, just a Griffiths burn off, sweet as. Came down the hill and they were putting out another fire a 10th the size of the burn we got, must have got confused and got lost getting to his place.

Then Simon and Chris turned up, having been on a RS pilgrimage south of us, we could have cleaned up a bit, but great to see them both. Looked like they have secured the sweet deal, and were doing the Auckland-Wellington round trip in a day. Motorcyclists, what can you say, we are a bloody minded bunch.

They will no doubt fill you in with all the finer details, but it looked a fine machine for their growing stable.

Quiet drink needed now, maybe more fires tomorrow...
