Right enough of how you lot spend your time, when you could be doing productive stuff.

Here in lies the challenge. There are some talented kids involved with these projects (mostly MX background); how do we get them involved and continue their interest in road racing.

It's bad enough having over talented fearless kids on little bikes wizzing past you at trail rides, why do we want them doing the same at buckets? Talk about bubble bursting.

I wasn't holding or limiting the conversation to buckets Dave.

Great so now there's other things for them to be better at? Good stretch in the army, that's what they need.

Ok, I'll a little confused with your views Dave.

but not to take what you write seriously:

Should we restrict racing to an old man's sport - to help inflate egos.
What's the starting point for an old man 30,35,40,45?
Should we also consider age bracket racing, so the older old men don't feel bad about the younger old men beating them...
I don't consider myself an old man (though feel it some days)...

    Anyway...
I'm really excited about what the Highschools are offering up here as part of the minimoto challenge.
The mere fact that these kids are actually doing it themselves is great.
Maybe its paternalness starting to show... We got a real buzz working with them.
Even taking some annual leave to go along and help out during the event.

Looking forward to next years' 150cc advance project...

Now we're talking Bert, nothing like abit of government funding to get the sidecar class booming! Maybe all based around 150 loncins.... Or the old fxrs will dry up real quick.
Good on you guys for giving theses young ones a look in to the sport! There needs to be more of this if you ask me.

No,no I can't take any credit for this...
All the hard work has been done at the school level.

We (us and some other members of VMCC) are just trying to hop on board (help out where we can) and to see how we can involve them further, as it's a shame to see it all end at their GP..

150 longchins or XL, GNs what ever is def the way forward.
Even scooter engines.. gY6 might be the go.
    Has to be cheap....

Getting involved will hopefully help us get racing sorted out up here.

The idea that is being floated (around several interested parties).
Manfield back circuit, now the long awaited separation as occurred.
    Buckets - f4
Sidecars mix of F4 (for the fat men) and mini for the lite weights.
    Mini Motards and mini bikes.
    And hopefully big Motards.

Maybe not every month and critical not to clash with Wellington or local MX.

Just got my KTM fired up. Its in a less state of tune than Scott but dose have programmable ignition and injection. Cant figer out how to upload a picture at the moment. Will be interesting what sort of power it puts out. Its running on the bench. I made plates to mount into my bike month ago. Reluctant to immobilize it at moment!
